Bibliographies of Bibliography
The best surveys of Catholic bibliography are to be found in works listed elsewhere in this chapter. One of the most recent of these is an essay by Sister Mary Claudia Carlin, I.H.M., which appears in the Catholic Bookman's Guide (A19, pp. 35-74). Older studies may also be found in William T. O'Rourke's Library Handbook for Catholic Readers (A74, pp. 207-259), and Stephen Brown's Introduction to Catholic Booklore (A16), from which the chapter of "Catholic Bibliography" was revised and reprinted in Brother David Martin's Catholic Library Practice (A78, v.1, pp. 97-199).
