Bibliography

The works listed in Chapter I under general bibliography pp. 1-17, 35-38 should also be consulted for theology, especially the Catholic Periodical and Literature Index (A160), the bulk of which is, in fact, devoted to theology of one sort or another. The works listed in this section are those covering theological literature exclusively.

The most important, comprehensive, continuing theological bibliography is the Elenchus bibliographicus (B28) published by the University of Louvain as an annual issue of its Ephemerides theologicae. Another excellent source of continuing bibliography is the quarterly annotated list contained in Theology Digest, a journal published by the School of Divinity of St. Louis University. The selection of titles and descriptive annotations are done by Father Charles Heiser, S.J.
