Dogmatic Theology

Many of the works in this section are arranged according to the traditional subdivisions of dogmatic theology — God-one and triune, Christ, Mary, man and creation, the scriptures, the Church, the sacraments, grace, virtues and eschatology or the "last things." Among the most useful reference works in dogma are the source books (B216-B224), especially Denzinger (B218), which cite the specific passages from the scriptures, the Fathers, or Church documents on which the doctrines are based. Neuner's collection (B220) is important in that it is quite recent and contains documents from Vatican II and the reign of Pope Paul VI in English.
