Literature
Attempting to publish in book form a bibliography of enduring reference sources for Catholic literature was, still is, and probably always will be, a quixotic adventure. The McCabe entries represent a laudable attempt in this gnarly subject area. A more recent publication (albeit for the general reader) is the bio-bibliography Encyclopedia of Catholic Literature [Westport, Greenwood Press, 2004], edited by Mary R. Reichardt.
