Volume I covers the Gospels; 2, the Acts and St. Paul; 3, the other epistles and the Apocalypse. The commentary is meant to be used in conjunction with Knox's translation of the New Testament (B46). It is aimed at the layman, not the biblical scholar. "A clear and succinct explanation of the text … that makes it easy and pleasant reading" (Catholic Biblical Quarterly, XVII [July, 1955], p. 521). Running titles help to locate specific topics or incidents. Each volume has an index.
