Initiated by the Joseph and Rose Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University, this work was sponsored by various governmental and private foundations and contains articles by medical, scientific, philosophical and theological scholars of all faiths, Christian, non-Christian and Jewish. Catholics will find this a useful source of information on contemporary bioethical problems since Catholic viewpoints are consistently presented and clearly labeled. The same is true for other major religious groups. Bibliographies are long, annotated and plentiful.
