The Lectionary is a part of the newly reformed Roman Missal. It contains the readings (epistles and gospels) used at Mass, which have been expanded into a complex three-year cycle. It also contains responsorial psalms recited by reader and congregation after the first reading. Other prayers of the Mass are now found in the Sacramentary.
